DEGREE PLANNING SESSION

Declaring a major is a big decision! We recognize there are many questions and concerns for the new or prospective Psychology major. The Department of Psychology has designed an informative seminar called a Degree Planning Session (DPS). Intended to facilitate the transition to the Psychology major, DPSs are convenient and informal one-hour seminars that are designed to help answer questions like below.

What courses will I take as a psychology major? What is the difference between a B.A. and B.S. degree? When do I need to take math and statistics courses? When should I start my psychology electives? What are research methods courses? Can I get involved in research? When do I start planning for graduate school? What is Psych Club?

At the DPS, we provide students with a planning packet that includes tools and information you will find helpful as you pursue your degree in psychology.

Schedules for upcoming sessions can be found on the main page of this website (under News & Events) and are always posted on the bulletin boards outside 342 Fawcett Hall.
